Artist Statement: “
My work is concerned with the understanding of how imprisoning our ideas of inner and outer, of subject and object can be. When there is no 'inside' or 'outside', boundaries shift and become adaptable, similar to the mind of 'non - attachment'. Through colour and form I found a language of a third space. Adjusting and moving, finding spaces to observe, spaces to reflect, spaces to meditate and rest and always in a state of mindfulness."
Reviews: 'Kinsella allows her material to do the work. The abstract forms hold elements of the figure, then they dissolve and in that dissolution they express the clarity and beauty of an artistic energy that has been allowed to evolve slowly and naturally'.
Circa Magazine, 1999.
Aidan Dunne describes Kinsella as one of the students 'on the edge of an exciting breakthrough'. The Times, 2007.
